Sweet Smell Of Success was Robert’s “final” time as an extra in the movies. The film itself was a dark drama starring two Hollywood titans in Burt Lancaster and Tony Curtis.

Spartacus
Release Date: 8th December 1960 Role: Stunts/Extra
While this was an extra role it was not part of Robert’s tenure as a “proper” extra. This was an extra role that Robert did just for fun. He also was a stuntman in the movie - again just for fun. Robert took this step back into the world of extras while his career was actually starting to explode through many roles in popular TV shows, and his first starring role in a TV series, Laramie.
Incident At Phantom Hill

Return Of The Seven

Robert’s second major movie role was in the first sequel to the classic western The Magnificent Seven. Robert was cast as Vin, and received second billing the Yul Brynner with whom he enjoyed a friendship until Brynner’s death.
