“Hec Ramsey” was a short lived series, only 10 episodes, running around 90 minutes each. Robert appeared in a cameo role so was only on screen for a few minutes, but arguably the most powerful few minutes of the show.Hec Ramsey was an old grisled lawman played brilliantly by Rochard Boone. Appearing in this episode paired Robert up with Boone who helped Robert to train to become an actor. (See Robert’s Bio). It also put him back together with John Anderson who made several appearances in Laramie, Terry Wilson who played Bill Hawks in Wagon Train and also with Tony Russell who appeared with Robert in “The Hard Ride” As Robert’s appearance was brief I have included shots of these 3 gentlemen in the slideshow above.
The Wonderful World Of Disney
Air date: 3rd February 1974Season 20 - Episode 16Episode: Carlo, The Sierra CoyoteRole: Narrator
The Wonderful World Of Disney has been running under several different titles since 1954. Robert narrated his episode “Carlo, The Sierra Coyote” in season 20. It is the story of Carlo, a coyote who is driven out of his den by man, and heads for the mountain to find a new home. It is beautifully filmed with some spectacular scenery. This was a departure from Robert’s normal acting roles but was something he did well stamping his mark on the show.
